Love Myself

Thoughts of you flood my mind
Enraged with anger, I am
For I do not miss you
Nor, do I miss the lack of love
Or, the lack of honesty.
I think of you
And wish that it would have been different
Not because I loved you, in the end,
Though, I did love you once upon a time.
Rather, I do not like failure
And this,
This was a failure.
No, I do not want you back.
No, I would not take you back.
Yet, your actions are a constant on my mind
Serving as a punishment to myself
Because for three years
My self-worth was not more, to me
And, I,
I will take responsibility for that, but
I will not take responsibility for your
Lies
Disrespectful communications
Constant removal of blame from you to me
Your inability to self-reflect, but the ability to project
Your lack of consideration
Your lack of cherishing the one you "love."
These thoughts of you are not happy sentiments.
These thoughts of you reflect my anger towards myself.
And, reminder to never
Never, make the same mistake twice.
I will not make excuses.
Nor will I accept them.
I will not look past the red-flags.
I will take note of them,
Adjust and persevere
Because I,
I, know my self-worth.
I
Now
Know
How to
Love myself.

Anew

I want to run in a field of sunflowers
Sunflowers so tall the world can't see me at all.
Getting lost, being found is all that's abound.
I want to dance in a field of sunflowers
Hidden from the glares of those discerning eyes.
Free to make the choices I desire
With out care of who will conspire.
I want to lie in a field of sunflowers
Where peace floods my internal appetite
And all the detriments of life dissipates.
